Vandalism spree in Hampstead prompts plea for public’s help

HAMPSTEAD –– Local authorities are seeking the public’s help following a series of overnight vandalism incidents reported on Wheelwright Road and Barthelmess Lane.

Numerous homeowners have reported finding white spray-painted words on their mailboxes, homes, signs, and roads.

The wave of criminal mischief is believed to have occurred sometime overnight, and police are now appealing to residents in the area for assistance.

Specifically, those living on Wheelwright Road, Barthelmess Lane, and Kent Farm Road are being asked to review any video surveillance footage for suspicious activity.

Authorities are hopeful that these residential surveillance systems may have captured images or footage that could assist in identifying the vandals.

Officer Lamontagne and Detective Randell are leading the investigation into these incidents.
