Stolen car found in Plymouth, Connecticut man arrested

PLYMOUTH –– A 45-year-old man from West Hartford, Connecticut, was arrested on October 16 after Plymouth Police Department officers located a stolen 2023 Ford Bronco in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

The vehicle had been previously reported stolen from South Burlington. Officers conducting surveillance observed the individual enter the stolen vehicle and managed to apprehend him without further incident.

The suspect, whose identity has not been released, was charged with receiving stolen property and being a fugitive from justice.

He also has extraditable warrants from Bennington for petit larceny, first-offense identity theft, and false pretenses or false tokens.

Furthermore, the suspect has non-extraditable warrants from Michigan and Indiana for vehicle theft, and from Ohio for failure to appear on a stolen property charge.

Following his arrest, the suspect was held on preventative detention and transported to the Grafton County Jail.

He is currently awaiting arraignment.
