DUI charges after vehicle stopped on shoulder on Vermont Route 9 in Marlboro

MARLBORO — A 35-year-old man from Vernon was arrested for DUI following an incident in Marlboro yesterday.

Police say they observed a vehicle stopped on the shoulder of Vermont Route 9 at around 4:00 p.m.

Police made contact with the driver, identified as Kyle Amidon.

While speaking with Amidon, police say they observed several indicators of impairment.

Police say that Amidon had been operating a motor vehicle on a public highway while under the influence of alcohol.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing.

He was cited to appear in court on November 7 to answer the charge of DUI.

He was released to a sober adult.
