ST. JOHNSBURY — A 25-year-old man from St. Johnsbury was arrested for excessive speeding through St. Johnsbury yesterday.
Police say they observed a motorist traveling at a high rate of speed while patrolling the area of I-91 north at around 6:45 p.m.
Police initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Trevor Covey.
Police say that Covey was traveling at speeds in excess of 115 miles-per-hour while in a posted 65 miles-per-hour zone.
He was taken into custody before being issued a traffic ticket and released on citation to answer the charge in court on November 13.
