Essex police seek public’s help in vehicle theft investigation

ESSEX –– Essex police are seeking public assistance in an investigation involving multiple vehicle thefts that occurred in the early morning hours of October 7, according to a news release.

Between 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., police investigated several reports of stolen vehicles and thefts from vehicles in neighborhoods around Clover Drive.

The suspects, who were captured on camera wearing hooded sweatshirts, have yet to be identified.

The police are asking residents with security cameras to review their footage and call the Essex Police Department at 802-878-8331 with any information that may assist in the ongoing investigation.

“Essex Police are following up on several leads and all cases remain under investigation,” Sgt. Chistolini said.

In the wake of these incidents, the police are reminding residents to lock their vehicle doors and remove all items of value before leaving their cars unattended.

Officer Fournier, the contact for this investigation, requests that anyone who discovers that their vehicle, garage, or property has been tampered with to report it to the police.
