Driver charged with DUI after caught speeding on I-91 in Lyndon

LYNDON — A 55-year-old man from New Hampshire was arrested for DUI following an incident in Lyndon on Saturday.

Police say they observed a motorist traveling south at a high rate of speed while patrolling I-91 at around 4:55 p.m.

Police initiated a traffic stop, making contact with the driver, identified as Stephen Roberts, of Franconia, NH.

Police say that Roberts was impaired and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcoholic beverages and drugs.

He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing before being released to a sober adult.
