WILLISTON — A 34-year-old woman from Montpelier was arrested for her fourth DUI in Williston early this morning.

Police say they initiated a traffic stop for a moving violation on I-89 south at the Williston Rest Area at around 12:25 a.m.

The driver was identified as Emily Hassard.

While speaking with Hassard, police say they detected several indicators of impairment.

Following an investigation, it was found that Hassard was operating a motor vehicle with a criminally suspended license and was only to be operating a vehicle equipped with an ignition interlock device.

Hassard’s vehicle had no such device.

She was arrested for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Williston barracks for processing.

Per the order of the court, Hassard was ordered to be held until sober and later released on conditions to appear in court tomorrow to answer the charges of DUI #4, driving with a criminally suspended license, and the requirement to have an ignition interlock device.
