Driver charged after clocked doing 120 mph in Colchester

COLCHESTER — A 27-year-old man from Milton was cited for excessive speeding in Colchester today.

Police say they clocked a vehicle traveling 120 miles-per-hour in a posted 65 miles-per-hour speed limit zone while conducting speed enforcement on I-89 north at around 10:35 a.m.

Police initiated a traffic stop after observing the vehicle traveling at this speed.

Draven Seats was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for speeding with a waiver penalty of $806.

He was released with a citation to answer the charge at a later date and time.
