DUI #2 charges after crash in Derby

DERBY — A 30-year-old man from Orleans was arrested for his second DUI following a crash in Derby.

The single-vehicle crash took place on Dumas Road at around 9:50 p.m. on September 22.

Police say that the driver, identified as Edward Kane, was unable to maintain his lane of travel and crashed into a utility pole causing the pole to fall into the road.

During the investigation, police say they observed Kane to have multiple indicators of impairment.

Kane was arrested for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Derby barracks for further processing.
