ST. ALBANS — A 35-year-old man from Sheldon died in Northwest State Correctional Facility on Sunday.
The deceased man in this incident is identified as Jeffrey Nichols, 35, of Sheldon.
An autopsy is taking place today at the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington to determine the cause and manner of death.
This will include toxicology testing, which can take several weeks to several months.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
Police say no additional information is currently available.
