St Johnsbury man arrested for retail theft

ST JOHNSBURY –– A local man has been arrested in connection with a retail theft that occurred at a local supermarket last month, according to the St Johnsbury Police Department.

Shawn Greenwood, 51, of St Johnsbury was taken into custody by police after in-store video footage linked him to the theft at White Market on August 27.

The police responded to the late report of the theft on September 1.

Detective Sgt. Lester Cleary, the officer in charge of the case, stated that Greenwood was cited and is expected to appear in the Caledonia court on October 23 to answer to the charge.
