Plane crash in Moultonborough leaves no injuries, under investigation

MOULTONBOROUGH –– A morning plane crash on Sheridan Road led to no injuries, according to Moultonborough Police Department officials on Friday.

At 8:40 a.m., Officer Christen Cloutier responded to reports of the incident, which occurred in the area of Buxton Road.

The pilot, identified as 74-year-old David Gray from Albuquerque, New Mexico, was unharmed.

The plane hit two street signs before coming to a stop in a residential front yard, narrowly missing a parked vehicle in the driveway.

The damaged aircraft was later transported to the Moultonborough Airport, escorted by local police officers.

“The scene was documented and the appropriate notifications were made,” said Chief Peter W. Beede, Jr.

Moultonborough police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
