ST. JOHNSBURY — A 69-year-old man from St. Johnsbury was arrested for DUI following an incident in St. Johnsbury yesterday.
Police say they observed a motorist traveling south at a high rate of speed while patrolling the area of US 5 and Industrial Parkway at around 8:15 p.m.
Police initiated a traffic stop, making contact with the driver, identified as Michael Ohara.
Following an investigation, police say that Ohara was impaired and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants.
He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing before being released to a sober adult.
