Derry man dies in single-motorcycle crash on Kendall Pond Road

DERRY –– A 38-year-old Derry man died following a single-motorcycle crash on Kendall Pond Rd. near Michael Ave. on Saturday night, according to the Derry Police Department.

Matthew Spoor was found several feet from his 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle, which was lying on its side, at approximately 9:50 p.m., officials said.

Spoor had multiple apparent injuries and was immediately treated at the scene by the Derry Fire Department before being transported to the Elliot Hospital in Manchester.

He later died from his injuries.

Preliminary investigations by the Derry Police Department found that the motorcycle, traveling eastbound on Kendall Pond Rd., had left the roadway and struck a rock on the right shoulder.

The impact resulted in Spoor being ejected from the motorcycle.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
