Motorcyclist injured during crash in Shoreham

SHOREHAM — A 72-year-old man from Bridport was injured during a crash in Shoreham yesterday.

Authorities were notified of a motorist trapped under a motorcycle on Vermont Route 74, near Larrabee’s Point, at around 7:15 p.m.

The driver was identified as Richard Groman.

Police say that Groman was traveling east when he lost his balance and fell off his motorcycle.

The motorcycle was lifted off of Groman by a local firefighter and later transported to Porter Medical Center by ambulance for injuries.

Troopers were assisted on the scene by members of Middlebury Regional EMS and the Shoreham Fire Department.
