Burglary in Walden

WALDEN — Police are investigating a burglary that occurred in Walden.

On July 16, authorities were notified by members of the Skeete family that a burglary took place at their seasonal residence on Cahoon Farm Road at around 8:35 p.m.

Police say unknown individuals had forcefully entered the home and caused tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of damage.

The offenders broke all the windows and glass doors, tore down drywall, destroyed all the furniture, and tossed over half of the household items off the deck into the front yard.

They also caused extensive damage to the vehicle stored in the basement garage.

Police say that multiple individuals were involved in the incident and that it occurred between April 16 and July 15.
