Motorcyclist transferred to Dartmouth Hitchcock after crash in Jay

JAY — A 30-year-old man from Richford was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Jay this week.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 242 at around 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

According to the report, the motorcycle was headed west when it crashed.

The driver was identified as Cooper Bonczar.

Police say that Bonczar experienced a medical episode and was transported to North Country Hospital. He was later transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

He suffered serious, but not believed to be life-threatening injuries, police say.
