JAMAICA — A Manchester man has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident and negligent operation, following a crash on Pine Lane in Jamaica, Vermont.

According to the Windham County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the scene around 3 p.m. on June 7, where they found a substantially damaged vehicle.

The driver, identified as 35-year-old Henry A. Herrera, was not present.

Investigators discovered that Herrera was heading south on Route 30 when he swerved and hit a guardrail.

His vehicle then crossed the yellow lines, the northbound lane, traversed a yard and went through the woods before crossing Pine Lane and becoming inoperable.
