ST. JOHNSBURY — Northern Counties Health Care (NCHC) Chief Strategy Officer Chris Towne and Chief Financial Officer Angela Neil recently toured the Caplan’s Building project with Community National Bank’s Vice President and Marketing Director Tracy Roberts and Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer Mark Clough.

Community National Bank is one of Northern Counties Health Care’s major sponsors for the relocation and expansion of Northern Express Care in St. Johnsbury.

The renovations are coming along very well and look to be on track to meet the opening celebration slated for August 10, 2023.

To preserve the building’s historical look and feel, a great deal of the original wooden flooring is being sanded and refinished. The new facility offers a more spacious waiting area with a restroom, and several additional exam and consultation rooms.

Updating and expanding St. Johnsbury’s Northern Express Care facility will improve the care experience for patients and give NCHC flexibility to meet the growing need for walk-in care. Many community members are excited about the Caplan’s Building project.

NCHC is inviting community businesses and individuals to be part of this historic initiative by supporting the project with a donation.

All supporters who donate by June 15, 2023, will be recognized at the grand opening later this summer.

Donors contributing $250 or more will be honored on a donor wall at the Caplan’s Building. For information about donating visit  www.nchcvt.org/caplans.

In addition to housing Northern Express Care, there is a second street-front entrance offering about 800 square feet of commercial space which is currently available for lease. Information packets outlining the letter of interest process for leasing the newly renovated space can be found on the NCHC website www.nchcvt.org/caplans.
