Man arrested for DUI, reckless endangerment in Barnet

BARNET — A 59-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Barnet yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of a man engaging in disorderly behavior at several residences on US Route 5 at around 6:00 p.m.

Police say that Alexander Calcagni, of Barnet, was the offender, and damaged property.

He returned to his home.

Police say that Calcagni had operated his vehicle in a negligent and unsafe manner.

Troopers met with Calcagni and noticed several indicators of impairment.

He was arrested and taken into custody for the offense of driving under the influence, gross negligent operation, reckless endangerment, aggravated disorderly conduct, and unlawful mischief.

He was issued a citation to appear in court on June 12 for the charge of driving under the influence, gross negligent operation, reckless endangerment, aggravated disorderly conduct, and unlawful mischief.
