Brush fires reported in Nashua

NASHUA — The Nashua Fire Department has responded to several brush fires in the area.

On Sunday, multiple fire companies responded to Mine Falls Park for three large brush fires.

A large area of smoke could be seen on the Nashua side of the river from the south end of Hudson.

Shortly after, the Nashua Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Spindlewick Drive.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a 2-acre fire burning in the rear of homes in a logging area.

Firefighters remained on the scene until shift change.

The fires had been a cause for concern for residents in the area.

The Nashua Fire Department urges residents to be cautious and take preventative measures to avoid accidental fires, especially during dry and windy conditions.

It is important to remember to properly dispose of smoking materials and avoid open burning.
