Ferrisburgh man cited for eluding police, DLS

FERRISBURGH – Trevor B. Matton, 37, of Ferrisburgh, was cited for multiple violations following a traffic stop attempt on Greenbush Road on April 15.

According to Vermont State Police, a traffic stop was conducted after an observed motor vehicle violation near the intersection of Greenbush Road and Long Point Road.

Matton initially stopped but fled in a grossly negligent manner shortly after.

Troopers did not pursue the vehicle.

Further investigation revealed that Matton was driving with a criminally suspended license and the vehicle did not have an ignition interlock system as required.

Matton turned himself in at New Haven Barracks for processing and was later released with a citation for gross negligent operation, driving with a criminally suspended license, eluding a police officer while operating in a grossly negligent manner, and ignition interlock restricted driver’s license or certificate.

He is scheduled to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.
