BARRE — A 44-year-old man from Barre was charged with home improvement fraud following an incident in Randolph last month.

On March 13, authorities say they were notified of a call from the victim reporting a home improvement fraud incident between her and Northern Build Pros Inc.

Following an investigation, police allege that James A. Martin signed multiple contracts with the complainant, collected the deposits, but never completed the work.

Yesterday, Martin was located by Barre City Police Department and issued with a citation.

He is scheduled to appear in court on May 3 to answer the charge.
