Boston police recover six loaded firearms after shots fired in Dorchester

BOSTON — Boston police officers recovered six loaded firearms after responding to a call for shots fired in the Dorchester neighborhood on Friday night.

According to a police statement, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrived at the scene at about 9:11 PM and found no victims or suspects.

However, they located ballistic evidence in the area and subsequently recovered multiple firearms.

The firearms recovered include a Sig Sauer P320, 9mm firearm with one round in the chamber and fourteen rounds in the magazine, a Glock 17, 9mm firearm with fourteen rounds in the magazine, a Polymer80, Glock 17 firearm with one round in the chamber and sixteen rounds in the magazine, a Ruger P89, 9mm firearm with one round in the chamber and ten rounds in the magazine, a Polymer 80, Glock 19, 9mm firearm with one round in the chamber and four rounds in the magazine, and a Glock 19, 9mm firearm with thirty rounds in the magazine.

District detectives will continue to investigate the incident.
