Driver charged after leaving scene of crash with injuries in Lyndonville

LYNDONVILLE — A 64-year-old man from Marshfield was cited for leaving the scene of a crash in Lyndonville on Thursday.

Authorities were notified of a two-vehicle collision with injuries on Back Center Road and Center Street at around 4:00 p.m.

Police say Officer Jason Harris was the first on the scene, within seconds of the initial dispatch.

As Harris was tending to the injured driver and passenger of a black Ram truck, he learned that the other vehicle involved fled the scene.

The vehicle that fled the scene was described as a black truck.

Police say the truck turned south on Memorial Drive.

Following an investigation, police identified the driver as Michael O’Rourke.

Yesterday, Officer Harris made contact with O’Rourke, and he was issued a citation for leaving the scene of a crash, injury resulting.
