Bomb threat at Rochester Middle School

ROCHESTER — Police are investigating a bomb threat that was made at the Rochester Middle School today.

According to police, the threat was received by a school employee via email at around 6:40 a.m.

Superintendent Kyle Repucci made the decision to close the school for the day out of an abundance of caution.

Emergency services responded immediately to the scene, and State Police EOD arrived to assist.

Two State Police K-9s were brought in to search the building, and fortunately, no bomb was found.

Police say they are still investigating the incident.
