Fatal motorcycle crash in Jamaica

JAMAICA — A 61-year-old man was killed during a motorcycle crash in Jamaica yesterday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 30, near Island Lane, at around 4:55 p.m.

According to the report, Romaine Smith, of Jamaica, was traveling south when he lost control of his motorcycle and traveled off the road.

Smith was pronounced deceased on the scene by medical personnel.

State Police were assisted by Jamaica Fire and Rescue, Rescue Inc., and J&M Towing.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is being encouraged to contact Trooper Alibozek at the Westminster Barracks.
