WESTPORT — The Westport Police Department responded to a report of a body found floating in a retention pond on the property of 55/57 Greens Farms Road today.
The person was confirmed deceased and identified as Errol Whyte, a 62-year-old man from Stamford, Connecticut, who had been missing since December 29, 2022.
The Westport Police Detective Bureau will conduct a death investigation to determine the circumstances leading to Whyte’s death.
The identification of the deceased was withheld for some time to allow notification of next of kin.
The Westport Police Department said they extend their sincerest condolences to Whyte’s family.
