Fiery crash on F.E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua

NASHUA — A 67-year-old woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a crash on the F.E. Everett Turnpike North in Nashua on Thursday afternoon.

According to the New Hampshire State Police, Valerie Morelli of Amherst, N.H. was driving a 2022 silver Lincoln Aviator when she exited the left side of the roadway due to a medical event.

Witnesses reported that the vehicle struck an embankment and several trees before catching fire.

A group of witnesses stopped at the scene of the crash in an attempt to render aid and were able to successfully remove Morelli from the vehicle prior to the arrival of first responders.

She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The incident caused multiple northbound lanes to be shut down for approximately two and a half hours, resulting in significant traffic delays.

The State Police were assisted on scene by members of the Nashua Police and Fire Departments as well as the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
