White box truck strikes Miller’s Run Covered Bridge

1 min read

LYNDONVILLE — The Lyndonville Police are investigating the first Miller’s Run Covered Bridge strike of the year, which took place early this morning.

At approximately 6:45 a.m., a white box truck drove onto the bridge from the Lyndon Institute side without slowing down, damaging both the south and north side of the bridge.

The truck then stopped next to a grey pickup truck which was waiting to cross the bridge.

After what appeared to be a conversation, the white box truck turned left onto Rt. 122 and continued out Rt. 122 past Pudding Hill Road toward Sheffield/Wheelock/Rt. 91.

The grey pickup truck continued over the bridge and left the area.

The Lyndonville Police are seeking to identify and speak to both operators.

This is a developing story.
