FERRISBURGH — A 31-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Ferrisburgh yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of a domestic disturbance at a home on Hand Road at around 5:15 p.m.

Following an investigation, police allege that Daniel Averill, of Ferrisburgh, caused bodily injury to a household member and violated an active abuse prevention order.

Police say Averill fled the home and was later taken into custody in the woods nearby.

He was transported to the New Haven barracks for processing and later lodged on $3,000 bail at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.

He was issued a citation to appear in court at a later date.
