Woman arrested for violating abuse prevention order in Shelburne

SHELBURNE — A woman was arrested for violationg an abuse prevention order in Shelburne yesterday.

The Vermont State Troopers were dispatched to a Shelburne motel for a family disturbance at around 11:45 p.m.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Nichole Cushing, 28, of Burlington, had violated a protection order by making contact with a protected person.

Cushing was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Williston Barracks for processing.

After processing, she was released with a citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on April 27.

The Vermont State Police does not release the names of victims of domestic violence or sexual assault.

No further information about the incident has been released.
