Sunapee fire responds to 12 incidents during winter storm

SUNAPEE — Sunapee Fire responded to a dozen weather-related incidents during a winter storm that hit the area on March 14.

The storm brought significant amounts of snow and high winds to town, causing hazardous conditions on the roads.

Among the incidents were one motor vehicle accident, nine reports of trees or wires down in the roadway, one transformer fire, and one good intent call.

The fire department reminds residents to clear their household exhaust vents of snow and debris to avoid a build-up of carbon monoxide.

The storm caused disruptions throughout the town, and residents are urged to take appropriate safety precautions when venturing outside.

Sunapee Fire and other emergency services remain on standby to assist those in need.
