HARTFORD — Two people were arrested following an incident in Hartford yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of an assault and robbery at the South on 5 Motel on North Hartland Road at around 10:30 a.m.

While officers were responding, they learned that the suspects also attempted to force the victim into a vehicle.

Responding officers interviewed the victim and witnesses at the motel and determined that a woman assaulted the victim, stole her cellphone, and attempted to force her into a car.

Police say the vehicle was being operated by a man.

The vehicle was identified as a black hatchback SUV with New Hampshire registration 4955759.

Given the serious nature of the incident, the Criminal Investigation Division took over the investigation.

Police identified the woman as April Sanville, and arrested her later that evening.

Dana Wescott, the male suspect in the case, was located at a residence in Hartford.

Wescott was arrested without incident.

Sanville and Wescott were both charged with simple assault, assault and robbery, larceny from a person, and attempted unlawful restraint.

Both were lodged at Southern State Correctional Center on $10,000.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Investigator Eric Clifford at the Hartford Police Department at 802-295-9425.
