BARTON — Two people were cited following an incident in Barton last month.
On February 15, authorities say they were notified of a theft of merchandise from the Circle K gas station.
Troopers spoke with staff, who reported a man and woman stole items on two occasions.
On February 15, the woman entered the store and left with 3 items and only paid for two.
On February 17, both the man and woman entered the store and the man left without purchasing any items.
Police say the man and woman were later located and identified as Joseph Prescott, 40, of Littleton, NH, andTanna Halvorsen, 38, of Barton.
Both were cited to appear in court for the charges of retail theft.
