Gun, brass knuckles, drugs found at Brattleboro home

BRATTLEBORO — The Brattleboro Police Department conducted a search warrant at a residence on Homestead Place.

The search resulted in the discovery of narcotics, brass knuckles, and an illegally possessed firearm.

The individuals living in the residence, Philip Patoine and Alice Gay, were cited for possession charges and are scheduled to appear in Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on March 21st, 2023.

Brass knuckles are illegal in Vermont, which means that the state prohibits the use and possession of such weapons.

It is a type of weapon that is designed to fit over the knuckles of the hand, with the intention of increasing the force of a punch.

If one is caught violating this law, they may be sentenced to up to five years in prison, and required to pay a fine of up to $1,000.
