Jackknifed tractor-trailer blocks Route 105 in Jay

JAY — A jackknifed tractor-trailer shut down a road in Jay yesterday.

The incident took place on Vermont Route 105 at around 4:25 p.m.

The truck was blocking both lanes of travel.

With the assistance of AOT, the road was temporarily closed.

The driver, Tenecia Daniels, of Houston, TX, told police that she was traveling west and sliding sideways while going down the hill into the right-hand corner.

The road slick and it was snowing at the time of the crash, police say.

B&B Towing and Recovery responded with a heavy-duty wrecker and was able to reposition the unit correctly onto the road.

Vermont Route 105 in the area was closed to traffic for around 3 hours.
