Man arrested for possession of crack in St. Johnsbury

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 34-year-old man from Sutton was arrested following an incident in St. Johnsbury yesterday.

Police say they observed three individuals walking in the road while patrolling along US 5 in the area of 500 Memorial Drive at around 10:00 p.m.

Police identified two of the individuals walking, one of which was identified as Rusty Perry.

During the investigation, police say they found Perry to be in possession of what was believed to be crack cocaine.

Perry was taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury barracks.

He received a citation to appear in court on March 27.
