Two arrested for burglary in Montpelier

MONTPELIER — Police say two people were arrested following an incident in Montpelier back in January.

Authorities were notified of a building that had been broken into in the early morning hours on State Street at around 7:25 a.m. on January 21.

Police say the involved parties broke into the common space and one urinated inside, causing damage to the property and the necessity of cleaning up bodily fluids.

Following an investigation, police say that a 42-year-old man from Colorado had committed the crime of burglary and was arrested.

Police say that a 21-year-old woman from Montpelier had committed the crime of burglary and unlawful mischief and was arrested as well.

At this time Montpleier police have not released the names of the suspects.
