Man arrested for kidnapping, assault in Manchester

MANCHESTER — A man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Manchester on Wednesday.

Authorities say they were notified of an assault outside the SNHU Arena at around 11:20 a.m.

Police say they made contact with a woman who reported that a man she knew had assaulted her while they drove in the car and refused to let her out.

The woman eventually got out of the car at a red light, and the suspect drove away.

The suspect, identified as Jeremy Alty, of Manchester, was located in Hampton, NH, and transported back to Manchester.

Police say Alty is charged with kidnapping, simple assault, criminal threatening, and stalking.

Police also learned that Alty had active bail conditions.

He was scheduled for arraignment in Hillsborough Superior Court North today.
