Driver arrested for DUI, possession of methamphetamine in Danville

DANVILLE — A 32-year-old man was arrested in Danville earlier this month.

Police say they initiated a traffic stop for several motor vehicle violations on North Danville Road/Goss Hollow Road at around 5:15 p.m. on December 7.

Police met with the driver, identified as Brannan Lacourse, of Danville.

Police say they observed indicators of impairment.

After Field Sobriety Tests, Lacourse was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI – drugs other than alcohol.

While searching Lacourse, he was found to be in possession of several substances.

After further testing, he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, and possession of Fentanyl.

He was released with a citation to appear in court for the charges of DUI – drugs, and possession of methamphetamine and possession of Fentanyl.
