FLETCHER — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries in Fletcher this week.
The crash took place in the area of Pond Road at around 9:45 a.m.
The caller told police that there appeared to be two vehicles involved and that both were covered in snowfall from the night before.
Fire and EMS responded, along with Notch Road Auto.
There were no occupants at the scene.
Troopers were able to identify and contact the owners and operators of the vehicles.
Following an investigation, it was found that Kelly Bickings, 41, of Jeffersonville, was operating the vehicle and reportedly went off the road due to icy roadways.
The vehicle hit a tree, causing airbag deployment.
The second vehicle on the scene was an acquaintance attempting to pick her up, but went into a ditch.
Police say that this crash happened around 2:00 p.m. on January 9, but was not reported to law enforcement.
Troopers later made contact with Bickings who told police that she was uninjured and declined medical attention.
She was later transported to UVMMC after an unrelated call for service for injuries suspected to be related to this crash.
Police are still investigating this crash.
