Manchester teen facing charges in connection to shooting

MANCHESTER — An 18-year-old Manchester resident faces multiple charges in connection with a shooting that took place in October 2022.

On October 27, 2022, Manchester Police received a report of gunshots in the area of Myrtle and Oak Streets.

Several officers who were working in the area also heard shots.

Responding officers spoke to witnesses who saw a car leaving the area at a high rate of speed and also found evidence of a shooting near 45 Oak Street.

Shortly after the gunfire was heard, a male was dropped off at Elliot Hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Police say the victim was not forthcoming with information.

Today, police say Kais Hammami of Manchester is being charged in relation to the incident.

He was arrested yesterday and charged with felony falsification of physical evidence, possession of marijuana and breach of bail.

This case is still ongoing and Manchester Police are still working to identify others who were involved.
