Driver arrested for DUI, LSA in St. Johnsbury

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 45-year-old man from New Hampshire was arrested following an incident in St. Johnsbury on Saturday night.

Authorities say they were notified of an erratic vehicle traveling north on I-91 at around 8:00 p.m.

Police say they quickly found the suspect vehicle and observed several motor vehicle violations.

A traffic stop was initiated along I-91 north at around 8:05 p.m.

The driver, identified as Mark Walrod, of Jackson, NH, displayed several indicators of impairment, police say.

Troopers screened Walrod, who was arrested for suspicion of DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

He was transported to the State Police St. Johnsbury barracks for processing.

He was issued a citation to appear in court to answer the charges of DUI refusal and LSA.
