Animal in road causes single-vehicle crash in Sadngate

SANDGATE — A 68-year-old woman was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Sandgate yesterday.

The crash took place on Sandgate Road, near Hamilton Hill Road, at around 9:00 a.m.

According to the report, the vehicle went off the road and spun out of control.

The vehicle was seen in a ditch with heavy drivers side damage at the scene.

The driver, Dona McAdams, told police that she was traveling south on Sandgate Road, when an unknown animal ran out in front of the vehicle.

Police say the vehicle swerved off the road, spun out, and crashed into a ditch.
