ORLEANS — Authorities say they arrested a 35-year-old woman from Westfield, and are currently looking for a 27-year-old man following an incident in Orleans.

Police say they encountered two suspicious vehicles parked at the Orleans Library on Sunday.

Troopers approached the vehicles and identified Daniel Peters as an occupant of one of the vehicles.

Peters has an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Police ordered Shannon Wrabel to stop the vehicle as she was trying to pull away as they approached.

Wrabel drove off in an aggressive and negligent manner with Peters in the vehicle.

Troopers then approached the second parked vehicle and met with the dirver, who was identified as Michael Whitcomb.

Following an investigation, probable cause was developed that Peters, just prior to law enforcement arrival, had committed the offense of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against Whitcomb.

Yesterday, police say they located Wrabel and took her into custody without incident.

She was transported to Northern State Correctional Facility and is facing charges of impeding a public officer, attempting to elude, accessory after the fact, and negligent operation.

Police say they are still attempting to locate Peters.

He is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Peters is 6’1” in height, approximately 220lbs has a short, trimmed beard, brown hair, and has tattoo sleeves on both arms.

Anyone with information on his location is being asked to call 802-334-8881.
