STRATTON — A 41-year-old man was cited for leaving the scene of an accident in Stratton on Saturday.

Authorities were notified of a single-vehicle crash into a tree on Stratton Arlington Road at around 11:10 p.m.

According to the report, nobody was with the vehicle when the police arrived.

Police say that the driver, identified as Boomer Walker, of Stratton, was operating his truck when it veered off the right-hand shoulder of the road, hitting a mailbox before crashing into a tree.

For an unknown reason, Walker left the scene and did not report the crash to any law enforcement agency.

Police say Walker did not wish to speak to them regarding the incident.

Yesterday, Walker met with State Police and was issued a citation to appear in court on August 30, to answer to the charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
