GMP utility truck stolen, dumped in West Charleston

WEST CHARLESTON — Police are looking for a man they say stole a Green Mountain Power utility truck in St. Johnsbury this morning.

Police say the utility truck was found at the parking lot of the West Charleston Corner Store on Vermont 105.

The truck had been stolen from the GMP facility in St Johnsbury sometime overnight.

Police say the thief then stole a vehicle that was parked across the road at Grenier’s garage at around 4:00 a.m.

The vehicle stolen from Grenier’s is a 2008 Ford F-250, blue with a black dump box and a yellow snowplow, and new snow tires.

The vehicle has no registration plates.

Police say the thief is described as a white male, between 25 and 40-year-old, of average height and weight, wearing a green puffy style jacket, blue hoodie, and wearing a cast on his left wrist/forearm.
