MARSHFIELD — A 25-year-old man was cited for leaving the scene of a crash in Marshfield last week.

The single-vehicle crash took place on Route 215 at around 12:45 p.m.

Police say they found a white truck down an embankment with no occupants nearby when they arrived.

A telephone pole and guardrail had been severely damaged due to the crash.

Following an investigation, police found the registered owner, Jonah Jarvis, of Marshfield, was operating the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Police say Jarvis left the scene of the crash knowing that he had caused damage without making a phone call to the police.

He was issued a citation to appear in court on October 28.
