Woman and child injured during single-vehicle crash in Coventry

COVENTRY — A 19-year-old woman and a child were injured during a single-vehicle crash in Coventry yesterday.

The crash took place on Coventry Station Road at around 5:50 p.m.

The driver was identified as Kendra Crowe, of Coventry.

Police say a small child was seated in a car seat in the back of the vehicle and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Crowe and the child were both transported by Newport EMS to North Country Hospital.

According to the report, Crowe suffered serious injuries.

She was traveling west before the crash when she left the road and struck a tree.

The road was temporarily closed as emergency workers responded to the crash scene.
